Q |
What type of work do you undertake? |
A |
Because of our strong craft roots and our extensive experience we are able to execute a high quality of work across a wide variety of sectors, for both public and private clients as our sector pages show. We do not however, generally carry out domestic or residential schemes other than as part of mixed use developments. |
Q |
What size of project do you undertake? |
A |
Our average projects size is now between £1 to £2 million, but we regularly carry out contracts from £500,000 to £6 million. |
Q |
What geographical area do you cover? |
A |
Most of our contracts are in the Midlands but in response to a growing demand from satisfied customers, we do now offer the B & K Service on selected projects throughout the UK mainland. |
Q |
How does B & K Building Services fit into the Bowmer & Kirkland Group? |
A |
B & K Building Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary company within the Bowmer & Kirkland Group. It was started nearly 30 years ago as a minor works company, with the intention of providing valued customers with the highly sought after Bowmer & Kirkland Service on their smaller contracts, hence the name. Over the years however, the company has grown to be a successful construction company in its own right and now carry out mid range projects up to £6 million. |
Q |
Does B & K Building Services still carry out minor works? |
A |
We always try to respond to and satisfy the needs of our customers on all sizes of project wherever possible. However for a dedicated and regular small works service we recommend our sister company B&K Property Services Limited, who specialise in this type of work and are the new minor works company within the group. |
Q |
How would I know whether to approach B & K Building Services or Bowmer & Kirkland about a potential project? |
A |
The ethos right across the Bowmer & Kirkland Group is to put the customer first and to make sure that we give the best possible advice and service in respect of any project. Although as a rule of thumb, Bowmer & Kirkland would tend to undertake the larger schemes above £5 million, this is not cast in stone and there is a degree of overlap depending on the type of work, the location, the client and local circumstances. If we felt that another member of the group would be more suited to a client's particular requirements we would recommend the appropriate company and the person to contact. |
