B & K brings home the bread

What a nightmare! Within days of gaining possession of the site, the exceptional floods earlier in the summer put the whole site under water and a total of 6 1/2 weeks was lost on what was already a tight programme.

Undaunted, Peter Donson, Ray Langridge and Vicky Fletcher were adamant that this setback would not ruin their plans.

By good management, careful planning and sheer determination they pulled it off and the Warburton's Bread Distribution Centre opened on time to the delight of the owners.

Some 200,000 loaves are distributed from this facility every day. That is 78,300,000 per year!
